Francis to Male Caregiver in Concubinage: “Do They Give You Communion?”

“Pope Francis was like a second father to me, and I still miss him deeply,” said his nurse, Massimiliano Strappetti, 56, in an interview with Corriere.it on April 19.
Francis hated hospital stays and joked whenever he had to go to Gemelli Hospital: “You’ll see—the cardinals are preparing the conclave now.”
“Every morning when he woke up, he would ask me, ‘Hello, who died today?’ That was just how he was,” Strappetti recalled.
One day, Strappetti told Francis that he was divorced and living with another woman. The pope replied: “And what’s the problem?”
He then asked: “Do they let you receive Communion? If not, tell me the names of those priests who refuse - I’ll go speak to them myself!”
For Strappetti, Francis was a “surprising” pope.

The U.S. Started the War. The Rest of the World Is Feeling the Effects.
In just eight weeks, much of the global economy has been knocked sideways. America has mostly been spared from the tumult.
nytimes.com/…04/27/business/economy/iran-war-glob…
The fallout from two months of war in Iran is shuttering textile mills in India and Bangladesh, grounding airplanes in Ireland, Poland and Germany, and prompting energy rationing in Vietnam, South Korea and Thailand. The only country, it seems, that has been relatively spared from the economic chaos is the one that started the war: the United States.
While warning signs of a recession are flashing across countries in Asia and Europe, the United States is likely to outperform most of the world’s advanced economies. Growth is steady and unemployment low. “It’s still hard to bet against the U.S. economy,” the Royal Bank of Canada said last week.

Leo XIV Won’t Stop German Homosex Blessings – German Theologian

Following recent remarks from Leo XIV, theologian Thomas Söding, a layman, sees "no threat" to the blessing of homosexual couples in Germany. He has been one of the best-known voices linked to the German Synod.
Speaking to Deutschlandfunk on April 27, Söding said: “What can and should happen with homosexual couples in Germany has been agreed with Rome — and that will not change.”
According to Söding, Leo XIV’s concern is ensuring that blessings are not confused with marriage, stressing that the distinction upheld by Rome is also reflected in German pastoral guidelines.
Munich Cardinal Reinhard Marx had recently forced his clergy to perform or enable homosexual blessings. According to Söding, such blessings have “long been common practice” in many German dioceses. The real issue, Söding said, is transparency: “The question is whether people talk about it openly or not.”
Cardinal Marx’s move creates “more clarity - and that is a good thing.”

The Good Shepherd never herds the sheep with the goats. Matt 25:33,41

Father Karl A Claver

How rapidly the Catholic Church in Germany has decayed.

2 Peter 2:21-22 It would have been better for them never to have known the way of righteousness than, having known it, to turn back and abandon the holy commandment that was handed on to them. What happened to them manifests the truth of the proverbs: “The dog returns to its own vomit,” and “The washed sow returns to wallowing in the mud.”

Apostasy Remains Unforgiven. If we deliberately persist in sin after having received the knowledge of the truth, then there no longer remains any sacrifice for sins.

Leo XIV on Anglican Dialogue: Overcoming Differences, No Matter How Intractable They Seem

Meeting for the first time with Anglican Dame Sarah Mullally, who holds the title Archbishop of Canterbury, Leo XIV encourages Catholics and Anglicans to proclaim Christ together.
They prayed together in the Urban VIII Chapel in the Apostolic Palace.
Leo XIV spoke about a fake archbishop who was an Anglican layman, and a pope who was far from saintly.
“When archbishop Michael Ramsey and Saint Pope Paul VI announced the first theological dialogue between Anglicans and Catholics [in 1966], they spoke of seeking the ‘restoration of complete communion in faith and sacramental life’. Certainly this ecumenical journey has been complex. While much progress has been made on some historically divisive issues, new problems have arisen in recent decades, rendering the pathway to full communion more difficult to discern.
I know that the Anglican Communion is also facing many of these same questions at this time.
Nevertheless, we must not allow these continuing challenges to prevent us from using …بیشتر

How he can sit there and affirm and, with his presence and sacred office, validate that heretic in her delusion, and at the same time, refuse to receive in Private Audience or even meet with the FSSPX Superior General, who is a faithful and holy bulwark of the Faith, is a great travesty and injustice.

Leo XIV Rumored to Prepare Excommunication of FSSPX

Pope Leo XIV has "decided to follow the '1988 jurisprudence'" with regard to the episcopal consecrations of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX) on 1 July, reports Rorate-Caeli.Blogspot.com on 25 April, referring to anonymous Roman sources.
This means: "He is said to have already had a decree prepared that is similar in tone and content to the one promulgated by Pope John Paul II through Cardinal Bernardin Gantin, Prefect of the Congregation for Bishops, on 1 July 1988."
The decree would declare the excommunication of the bishops involved, denouncing these episcopal consecrations as a "schismatic act".
Excommunication of entire FSSPX ?
Other Vaticanists have confirmed the core of the rumour.
Niwa Limbu (Catholic Herald) reported on X.com that the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith is "preparing for the possibility of excommunicating the entire FSSPX, not just the bishops".
Nico Spuntoni (Il Giornale) wrote that the Dicastery is "preparing for the possibility of a schism …بیشتر

Archdiocese to Pastors: Raise Millions for Sexual Abuse Victims Or Go Bankrupt

The Archdiocese of New York may be going bankrupt. The shocking news stunned pastors who were summoned to a recent emergency, all-hands meeting in which they were told that, despite real estate selloffs and cost cutting, the $300 million fund to pay off past victims of sexual abuse by priests and lay personnel was still hundreds of millions of dollars short of what is needed to reach a global settlement.
That woeful underfunding comes despite the Diocese having sold off over $800 million worth of real estate over the past two years. Pastors received the devastating news on April 17 at the sprawling 40-acre St. Joseph College and Seminary in Yonkers, NY
Collectively the pastors, who head up about 200 parishes in Manhattan, the Bronx, Staten Island and seven upstate counties, were told at the meeting that they will have to dip into their own parish coffers to collectively raise hundreds of millions more–perhaps as much as $400 million more. If the parishes cannot meet the goal, the pastors …

"Many European Abbeys Will Disappear" - Norbertine Abbot General

Many European abbeys will disappear in the near future, Abbot Jos Wouters of the Norbertine monastic order, told ND.nl on 22 April. He is the abbot general of 38 abbeys worldwide.
The interview was prompted by reporting on conditions in Berne Abbey, Netherlands, where there is said to have been a years-long culture of fear and power struggles.
Abbot Wouters notes that monasteries are receiving fewer and fewer vocations.
According to him, interested people are increasingly psychologically vulnerable individuals: "Out of a survival instinct, abbeys accept such people, even though they are completely unsuitable."
Abbot Wouters believes that his order is incapable of properly training individuals with "baggage".
He warns that such people compensate for their "inner weakness" by becoming overly bossy.
"Religion then functions like an exoskeleton, as with a lobster, which has no skeleton inside: it is hard on the outside to hide the weakness within."

Talking to Gloria.tv, Bishop Athanasius Schneider asks Pope Leo XIV to permit the episcopal consecrations of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X. Since Leo XIV continually calls for peace in the world, the bishop argues that he should also foster peace within the Church. If he cannot make peace with the faithful and clergy of the FSSPX — Catholics who love and pray for the Pope — then his appeals for peace will lose credibility. Bishop Schneider therefore recommends that the Pope allow the consecrations as a gesture of reconciliation and to build bridges with the FSSPX, with whom he should continue discussions towards a lasting solution.

Peter Thiel's Palantir may be 'the most dangerous company in the world': here's why - LifeSite

Mon Apr 27, 2026 - 2:04 pm EDT
(
LifeSiteNews) — Palantir, a company you may have never heard of, wields an extraordinary amount of power within the Trump administration and throughout the world.
Palantir is viewed by at least one astute observer as “the most dangerous company in the world” not only because of its tyrannical surveillance reach into American lives, but because of its terrifying power to trigger deadly military and societal decisions via its computer algorithms.
Interestingly, homosexual tech billionaire Peter Thiel — Palantir’s chairman, largest shareholder, and ideological spine — recently hosted a four-part lecture series on the Biblical Antichrist in Rome during Lent.
As far back as 2009, Thiel wrote that he had stopped believing freedom and democracy were compatible.

Joyful Charity In A Hostile World
Saint Peter urges Christians to live as pilgrims on a journey towards heaven, not as if this world is the ultimate goal. This means living with holiness, being a light in the darkness, and treating all people, including those in authority, with respect and charity. In a society that often lacks kindness and decency, Christians should be known for their joy and charity.
Saint Peter’s letter to persecuted Christians emphasizes the importance of living a life of joy, charity, and forgiveness, even in the face of adversity. This call to holiness is a challenge for all Christians, urging them to be a light in the darkness and a source of leaven in the world. By focusing on God and living according to His will, Christians can find fulfillment and bring glory to the Father.
