According to a cardinal speaking to The Catholic Herald: "Although the liturgy was set aside—in the Consistory—in the end they gave us a document written by Cardinal Arthur Roche, which was quite negative about the Traditional Mass.

Cardinals Received a Document Opposing the Roman Rite at the Consistory - Report

Although the subject of the Mass in the Roman rite was not raised openly during the consistory on January 7-8, it was nevertheless referenced in writing.
“While the liturgy was put aside,” an anonymous cardinal told TheCatholicHerald.com that “we were given a paper at the end written by Cardinal Arthur Roche, which was pretty negative concerning the Tridentine Latin Mass.”
Cardinal Roche, Prefect of the Dicastery for Liturgy, has been one of the key figures in enforcing Pope Francis's 2021 apostolic letter Traditionis custodes, which restricts the celebration of the Mass.

Trial begins on whether religious facilities can refuse euthanasia in Canada - LifeSite

Mon Jan 12, 2026 - 5:01 pm ESTMon Jan 12, 2026 - 5:13 pm EST
VANCOUVER, British Columbia (
LifeSiteNews) — An important court case, the outcome of which will have “broad implications for religious freedom” in Canada about euthanasia being potentially forced in faith-based health care facilities, says a top constitutional group, is now proceeding in the Supreme Court of British Columbia.
“The case has broad implications for religious freedom, patient choice, and the future of palliative care in British Columbia and across Canada,” noted the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms (JCCF) in a recent press release.
Canada’s foremost pro-life elderly care facility, the Delta Hospice Society (DHS), was allowed intervenor status in the constitutional challenge, which will decide whether or not faith-based health care facilities will be forced to offer state-sanctioned euthanasia, or “Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID)” as it’s euphemistically known.
The DHS, as per the JCCF, noted …

The new Archbishop of Cape Town, Msgr Sithembele Anton Sipuka, appointed by Leo XIV on 9 January, took part in the SACC National Day of Prayer in June 2025, which included a collective confession of sins. After the confession, Sipuka addressed the assembly with words resembling an absolution, emphasizing God’s forgiveness through the grace of Christ.

During the National Day of Prayer ecumenical service in June 2025, held at Grace Bible Church in Soweto, the South African Council of Churches led a collective confession of sins introduced with the words: “Beloved in Christ, let us confess our sins before the Almighty.” The congregation was then guided through a national confession, naming historical and social sins such as colonialism, apartheid, racism, corruption, violence, and injustice. Immediately following this confession, the Catholic Bishop Sipuka declared forgiveness, stating: “By the grace of God and the love of Christ, you are forgiven.”

A time will come when the decisive battle between the kingdom of Christ and that of Satan will be over marriage and the family. And those who work for the good of the family will experience persecution and tribulation. But there is no need to be afraid, for Our Lady has already crushed their heads!

A battle of Catholics with false sister Lucy and false ideologies of post-conciliar popes?

Mike the Pike shares from steack

Vatican II is no longer being treated as one council received by the Church. It is being treated as the interpretive tribunal before which all other councils must now appear. If something from the past fits the conciliar vocabulary, it may remain. If it resists that vocabulary, it must be “re-read,” “re-framed,” or quietly set aside. This is why the language matters so much.

Bishop Strickland about the fateful council

My Brothers and Sisters In Christ,
A watchman does not cry out every hour of the night. He speaks when something has shifted – when the air itself feels different, when the ground beneath familiar landmarks has begun to move.
What has unfolded in Rome this week is not something to panic over, nor something to ignore. It is something to notice.
There has been a gathering of cardinals occurring – an extraordinary consistory – called not to define doctrine, not to correct grave error, not to defend the altar or clarify confusion, but to reflect, to listen, to converse, and to continue a process.
And the way this gathering was framed tells us far more than any single sentence spoken within it.
From the very beginning, the emphasis was clear: The Church was asked once again to look at herself – and to do so through one particular lens. Not through the accumulated wisdom of councils stretching back to the Apostles. But through the Second Vatican Council, presented not as a chapter in the …More

Bishop Fernando Rifan to Remain in Office Until 2027

The governance of Bishop Fernando Arêas Rifan, 75, of the Old Rite Apostolic Administration in Campos, Brazil, has been extended until spring 2027. He announced the extension in a pastoral letter published on January 11 on AdApostolica.org.
Monsignor Rifan recalled his meetings with Leo XIV in the autumn.
On 15 November 2025, he was received in private audience by Leo XIV, to whom he presented his resignation and the situation of the Apostolic Administration.
Leo XIV asked whether Bishop Rifan also celebrates the Novus Ordo. “I told him that in our churches we celebrate the ancient rite, but that when invited I concelebrate with our diocesan bishop, Bishop Roberto Paz, using the current rite, and likewise when I or our priests, when invited, celebrate Mass in the churches of the dioceses, we celebrate the Mass in the current form.”
Bishop Rifan on Leo XIV’s reaction: “He showed himself satisfied.”
On 17 November, Monsignor Rifan was received at the Dicastery for Bishops. There, he …More

Most jaw-dropping: Cardinal Joseph Zen’s explosive critique of the Synod was entirely omitted from the Vatican’s official recap.
At the consistory, the 93-year-old cardinal called the Synod on Synodality an “ironclad manipulation,” mocked appeals to the Holy Spirit as “almost blasphemous,” warned of Anglican-style division, and accused the process of enabling region-by-region doctrine while sidelining the Synod of Bishops—remarks the Vatican did not mention.

Synodal Way Will Lead the Church to Anglican Fracture – Cardinal Zen

The Synod on Synodality was an “ironclad manipulation,” Cardinal Joseph Zen, 93, said in his three-minute intervention at the consistory held January 7–8. The text of his speech was published on the Substack account of Edward Pentin CardinalNews.Substack.com.
Prior to the consistory, Cardinal Zen was received in private audience by Pope Leo XIV.
Synod’s Invocation of the Holy Spirit Verges on Blasphemy
In his intervention, Cardinal Zen criticized the late Pope Francis and the synodal process he initiated: “The ironclad manipulation of the process is an insult to the dignity of the Bishops, and the continual reference to the Holy Spirit is ridiculous and almost blasphemous.”
Francis, he said, expected “surprises” from the Holy Spirit. Cardinal Zen responded: “What surprises? That He should repudiate what He inspired in the Church’s two-thousand-year Tradition?”
Cardinal Zen noted that Francis bypassed the Episcopal College, listened directly to selected members of the laity, and …More

Shame on you trumphaters

Question: "Do you know ANY EXILED Venezuelan who isn’t thankful to president Trump?"
Take your time....
You don’t? Let me give you a hint... 0 , I was married to one, her entire family is living either in Florida or Chile, they don’t have sweet words for the regime and they don’t care about Trump's methods or his desire to get Venezuelan oil.
The horror some of my friends endured, one of my friends had to sell her apartment and the family business (2 bakeries), 2 out 6 employees of my sister's business had to do odd related jobs to try and get established despite having an university degree and spent a small fortune to study them (business admin and agricultural engineering).
A friend of mine, sold her apartment for US 10k, despite costing her 110k, decided to immigrate when goons appeared in her bakeries and threatened with high caliber weapons, placed in her brother's neck, to kill him if she didn't surrender their 2 suv's, after that close encounter, they fled the regime.
