At least 54 Americans are among the hundreds missing after devastating flash floods swept through the Nepal-Tibet border following a catastrophic landslide. A total of 579 people are missing, according to figures from the Nepali police. Of that total, 54 people are from the US, 24 from Canada, and 33 are from the United Kingdom. Authorities say that 113 of the missing tourists are Nepalese. Of the missing visitors, 466 are foreign nationals from 28 different countries. The office of Nepal's prime minister confirmed that 157 bodies have so far been recovered. Massive rescue efforts have continued into Wednesday evening. Harrowing footage from the scene showed fast-flowing floodwater ripping through the streets and destroying everything - including homes and bridges - in its path. The Toronto Tempo the Women's National Basketball Association, WNBA, team introduced two new mascots at a recent game against the Indiana Fever. One mascot Dez, believe it or not, is a non-binary turtle with pronouns she/they. Yes, the mascots are Dez the Snapping Turtle and Dot the Arctic Hare. Dot, identifies with “she/her” pronouns, and is “seemingly endless energy, acrobatics and enthusiasm to everything she does – making her the undisputed hype woman of the pair." This confusion comes from the WNBA because it can no longer tell the difference between a man and a woman. All this woke mascot stuff, probably all generated by AI, is in response to Fever player Sophie Cunningham who had the courage back in July to say that men who believe they are women have no place in women's sports. Yet, these same potential students are failing basic English skills entrance tests and need remedial classes! Of course, they aren't writing things themselves!

The Ontario Catholic School Trustees' Association has just shared with its membership, the latest annual report by the Office of the Integrity Commissioner of Ontario. The reason for the report is to give the Legislative Assembly and the public a transparent account of the office's work. It's mostly PR to justify the nearly $6,000,000 operational budget. The Office of the Integrity Commissioner is supposed to promote and defend ethical behaviour and integrity in all governemnt run activities. They say it's all about transparency and accountability. Why hasn't OCSTA raised the issue with the Integrity Commissioner of Ontario about the injustice done to trustee Michael Del Grande. Government funded operations from the courts, the teachers' union and the Ontario College of Teachers, have attacked Del Grande, even as his rights as a Catholic school trustee have been violated.
