Manitoba, Canada, is piloting a new health and physical education curriculum during the 2026–27 school year. More than two dozen schools are participating in the voluntary trial, which will help refine the curriculum before wider implementation. The draft includes significant changes to sexual-health education: In Grade 3, children (8–9 years old) learn about gender identities, including non-binary. In Grade 5, the curriculum introduces masturbation and different sexual and romantic attractions. By Grade 7, students (12–13 years old) are taught about vaginal, oral and anal "sex". Grade 8 covers abortion as a pregnancy option alongside parenting and adoption.

Restructuring in Spain Along the Lines of the German Synod: Example of the Diocese of León. The Diocese of León has announced major changes for the 2026–27 year. Bishop Luis Ángel de las Heras has appointed two women as episcopal delegates to increase female participation in diocesan governance. The diocesan seminary will close, and its seven seminarians will move to Salamanca as plans advance for an interdiocesan seminary.
