Pfingstfest – Der Tröstergeist
Heute am Pfingstfest danken wir Jesus dafür, dass Er – wie er versprochen hat – uns nicht alleine lässt, sondern uns vom Vater im Himmel den Beistand, den Tröster sendet, die Dritte Göttliche Person, die uns in Einsamkeit nicht verlässt und in allen Höhen und Tiefen des Lebens als Tröster begleitet. "Als der Pfingsttag gekommen war …kam plötzlich vom Himmel her ein Brausen, …und erfüllte das ganze Haus, in dem sie waren. Und es erschienen ihnen Zungen wie von Feuer, die sich verteilten; auf jeden von ihnen ließ sich eine nieder. Alle wurden mit dem Heiligen Geist erfüllt." (Apg 2,1 3) Der Hl. Geist führt uns – wie wir im Evangelium hören – in die „ganze Wahrheit“ ein, die uns befreit, heilt und glücklich macht. Der Hl. A reading from the first letter of St Paul to the Corinthians. No one can say, ‘Jesus is Lord’ unless he is under the influence of the Holy Spirit. There is a variety of gifts but always the same Spirit; there are all sorts of service to be done, but always to the same Lord; working in all sorts of different ways in different people, it is the same God who is working in all of them. The particular way in which the Spirit is given to each person is for a good purpose. Just as a human body, though it is made up of many parts, is a single unit because all these parts, though many, make one body, so it is with Christ. Pentecost Solemnity
On the day of Pentecost when the seven weeks of Easter had come to an end, Christ's Passover is fulfilled in the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, manifested, given, and communicated as a divine person: of his fullness, Christ, the Lord, pours out the Spirit in abundance. (Ac 2:36)
On that day, the Holy Trinity is fully revealed. Since that day, the Kingdom announced by Christ has been open to those who believe in him: in the humility of the flesh and in faith, they already share in the communion of the Holy Trinity. By his coming, which never ceases, the Holy Spirit causes the world to enter into the "last days," the time of the Church, the Kingdom already inherited though not yet consummated.
