There is an interesting internal contradiction in play here between the liberal Catholicism's integration of cultural Marxist ideas- we must use the tools of human science to eliminate poverty and environmental degradation and build a better terrestrial world for mankind albeit rejecting Marx's revolutionary political-economic program in contradistinction with the bourgeois mentality that rejects the Transcendent God and posits the autonomous socially constructed self that instrumentalizes religion.
This is mocking our all-seeing Lord by saying, "Prophesy unto us, O Christ, who is he that struck thee?"
There are any number of ballrooms in luxury hotels in this swishy part of San Juan. The show should have been done in one of those. This was done to insult God and weaken the sense of the sacred.
