John XXIII did not come up with the New Mass, he only made some minor changes before Vatican II. ie. adding the name of St. Joseph and removing "perfidious" from Good Friday. Prevost stands outside the Church for two reasons: because he supports a heretic—thereby incurring automatic excommunication—and because the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith has decreed that such ordinations are invalid, and that those who maintain the contrary are outside the Church.

For sure the American president is speaking like a mad mullah. Death to Iran as opposed to death to America. It's a form of dialogue that is familiar to the counterpart I expect. As to how this will shake out, it's hard to tell. Politics at that level is very convoluted. The weight of it is shuddering to contemplate. Iran is duty bound to follow just war theory too in relation to its own population as a matter of natural law.
