Il Vangelo mi incalza: Dio per te è un tesoro o soltanto una fatica? È la perla della tua vita o solo un dovere? Mi sento contadino fortunato, mercante ricco perché conosco il piacere di credere, il piacere di amare Dio: una festa del cuore, della mente, dell'anima. Non è un vanto, ma una responsabilità! E dico grazie a Colui che mi ha fatto inciampare in un tesoro, in molte perle, lungo molte strade, in molti giorni della vita.
The Gospel asks each of us a simple but profound question: Is God a treasure in your life, or merely a burden? Is He the pearl of great price, or simply an obligation? I feel like the fortunate farmer and the wealthy merchant because I have discovered the joy of believing and the joy of loving God. Faith is a celebration of the heart, the mind, and the soul. This is not something to boast about. It is a responsibility—a treasure meant to be shared.
