Hosea 14:2-10
“We will never again say, ‘Our god,’ to the work of our hands.’”

This is logical; we do not worship a representation, but what it represents, that is, God, when it is God. We do not worship an image of our parents, but God who, through his love, entered the hearts of our parents and who experienced it with us.

Mark 12:28b-34
“The Lord our God is Lord alone! You shall love the Lord your God.”

To love God, let us learn to let ourselves be loved by him, let us remain with him.
