Tom Morelli

A prayerless life doesn’t always look rebellious.
Sometimes it looks busy.
Responsible.
Productive.
Even spiritual.
You still believe in God.
You still go to church.
You still post verses and say “amen.”
But you’ve stopped talking to Him.
Decisions are made without asking.
Battles are fought without kneeling.
Pain is carried alone.
And peace is replaced with control.
A prayerless life slowly teaches you to rely on yourself — your strength, your logic, your coping mechanisms.
Until anxiety feels normal.
Weariness feels permanent.
And God feels distant.
Not because He moved — but because prayer did.
You don’t drift away from God in one big moment.
You drift when prayer becomes optional.
If you feel tired, overwhelmed, or empty — don’t just push harder.
Pray again.
Because a life without prayer is a life trying to survive without God’s presence.
