Cardinals Received a Document Opposing the Roman Rite at the Consistory - Report

Although the subject of the Mass in the Roman rite was not raised openly during the consistory on January 7-8, it was nevertheless referenced in writing.
“While the liturgy was put aside,” an anonymous cardinal told TheCatholicHerald.com, “we were given a paper at the end written by Cardinal Arthur Roche, which was pretty negative concerning the Tridentine Latin Mass.”
Cardinal Roche, Prefect of the Dicastery for Liturgy, has been one of the key figures in implementing Pope Francis's 2021 apostolic letter Traditionis custodes, which restricts the celebration of the Mass.

Deo gratias! Understanding that there's no way the Mass of the ages could ever be changed is how I finally came to realize these clerical imposters are NOT legitimate. It gets more clear by the day!

Shame on you trumphaters

Question: "Do you know ANY EXILED Venezuelan who isn’t thankful to president Trump?"
Take your time....
You don’t? Let me give you a hint... 0 , I was married to one, her entire family is living either in Florida or Chile, they don’t have sweet words for the regime and they don’t care about Trump's methods or his desire to get Venezuelan oil.
The horror some of my friends endured, one of my friends had to sell her apartment and the family business (2 bakeries), 2 out 6 employees of my sister's business had to do odd related jobs to try and get established despite having an university degree and spent a small fortune to study them (business admin and agricultural engineering).
A friend of mine, sold her apartment for US 10k, despite costing her 110k, decided to immigrate when goons appeared in her bakeries and threatened with high caliber weapons, placed in her brother's neck, to kill him if she didn't surrender their 2 suv's, after that close encounter, they fled the regime.

Musk reshares AI-generated Venezuelan celebration clip after US military operation

Following the shock capture of Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro from Caracas by US forces, a video allegedly showing triumphant demonstrations in the streets of the country spread via accounts with large followings, including a repost by X's billionaire owner Elon Musk. However, the clip does not depict authentic scenes and was originally posted by a dubious account bearing warped elements characteristic of artificial intelligence.
"Venezuelans are crying on their knees thanking Trump and America for freeing them from Nicolas Maduro," reads the caption of a January 3, 2026
video posted on X by Wall Street Apes, known for repeatedly spreading misinformation.
The clip appears to show a compilation of emotional people surrounded by Venezuelan flags who speak in Spanish about being "finally free."
Musk, who frequently amplifies fake reports and misleading claims, also reshared the video.
The visuals of supposedly exuberant crowds surged across X, Instagram, Threads, TikTok and …

Italian MP Defends Former Papal Master of Ceremonies

Public support for Monsignor Marco Agostini, the former Master of Papal Ceremonies, has emerged in Italy. He was dismissed after an audio recording was circulated in which he was allegedly heard using offensive language about members of the Roman Curia. While a microphone was unintentionally left on ahead of a Christmas greeting, he reportedly said that they are all "assholes" and "faggots".
On 4 January, VeronaNews.net reported that Vito Comencini (Popolo Veneto), a member of the Italian Chamber of Deputies, had issued a public letter expressing solidarity with the prelate.
Comencini considers the dismissal 'unjust and foolish', adding that it represents a 'worrying sign of persecution'.
Neither the audio nor the dismissal has been accompanied by an official explanation from Vatican authorities.
The Italian politician is aware that Monsignor Agostini had been 'targeted for some time' and claims that the alleged interception merely served as justification for his removal.

"May I Hug the Pope": This evening, Pope Leo XIV welcomed young people from the Diocese of Rome to the Paul VI Audience Hall. One of the young participants, who had been selected to speak, addressed the Pope at the microphone, saying: 'Dear Pope Leo, thank you for all you do for us. We love you. You are not alone. May we give you a hug?” After this, the young man approached Pope Leo XIV and embraced him.

Blessed William Carter Jan. 11
breski1 on Jan 11, 2010 Born in London, William Carter entered the printing business at an early age. For many years he served as apprentice to well-known Catholic printers, one of whom served a prison sentence for persisting in the Catholic faith. William himself served time in prison following his arrest for "printing lewd [i.e., Catholic] pamphlets" as well as possessing books upholding Catholicism.
But even more, he offended public officials by publishing works that aimed to keep Catholics firm in their faith. Officials who searched his house found various vestments and suspect books, and even managed to extract information from William's distraught wife. Over the next 18 months William remained in prison, suffering torture and learning of his wife's death.

Is U.S. bishops’ Caritas (“Catholic Charities”) involved with Mexican cartels? Nick Shirleyy claims that NGOs, including Catholic Charities and related Catholic Community Services groups, are facilitating illegal immigration in ways that align with Mexican cartel–controlled smuggling routes. Shirleyy is an independent videographer who films confrontational, on-the-ground content at the U.S.–Mexico border.
He says cartels bring migrants to the border. After that, NGOs take over. According to Shirleyy, they direct migrants to remote camps and provide aid such as shelter, help with paperwork, transportation, and sometimes plane tickets within the United States. He bases these claims on his own observations at migrant camps where Catholic Charities–branded blankets and supplies were visible. He also cites documents carried by migrants, translated from Chinese, that list step-by-step travel instructions after crossing the border, including buses, trains, pickup locations, and airport …Okunengi

The Trojan Horse in Canada's Constitution

Yes, a few Canadians are slowly discovering that there is a Trojan Horse in Canada's Constitution. Some Canadians are beginning to see the serious consequences of giving special rights to some citizens and not to others. Too many, in this woke climate, are afraid to speak out.
The national threat is found in Section 35.1 of the
Constitution Act of 1982 which states:
The government of Canada and the provincial governments are committed to the principle that, before any amendment is made to Class 24 of section 91 of the Constitution Act, 1867, to section 25 of this Act or to this Part,
(a) a constitutional conference that includes in its agenda an item relating to the proposed amendment, composed of the Prime Minister of Canada and the first ministers of the provinces, will be convened by the Prime Minister of Canada; and
(b) the Prime Minister of Canada will invite representatives of the aboriginal peoples of Canada to participate in the discussions on that item.

Who Was St. Maximina, the Forgotten Miraculous Saint?

Brief Overview
St. Maximina, also known as St. Maxima of Singidunum, was a martyr of the early Catholic Church who lived in the region of modern-day Belgrade around 304 A.D.
She was a widow and mother who faced death during one of the most severe Roman persecutions for her steadfast faith.
Her martyrdom involved beheading, after which her body was thrown into the Sava River, only to be recovered and buried by faithful Christians.
Over centuries, her relics traveled from Rome to Chicago and finally to North Royalton, Ohio, where they remain venerated today.
Known as the “Miraculous Saint of Great Faith,” she is credited with numerous miracles through her intercession.
This article explores her life, martyrdom, and enduring legacy within the Catholic tradition.
Detailed Response

Accused of False Statement - Nicaraguan Cardinal Was Invited to Consistory

Cardinal Leopoldo Brenes, 76, of Managua, Nicaragua, did not attend the consistory held in Rome on 7–8 January. He stated that he was not invited, claiming that he had checked his emails, WhatsApp messages and communications from the College of Cardinals.
However, on 8 January, senior Church sources told LaPrensaNi.com that Cardinal Brenes had received an invitation to participate in the consistory but had refused to go for undisclosed reasons.
The sources also indicated that there may be ongoing or attempted negotiations with the Nicaraguan government. The Church has faced sustained confrontation with the Ortega regime, resulting in persecution, restrictions on religious activity and the forced exile of several bishops.

So..., not a 'computer guy'.... One does have to wonder, however, if he was as oblivious as this about checking his "social media" (in itself not necessarily a bad thing; some prelates - Prevost anyone? - are on it way too much!) before opening his mouth, is this really the kind of 'leadership' the Church requires at the moment ?!
