Pope Francis, 87, struggled on Wednesday with his public speaking and mobility.
He had difficulty in standing and couldn't get into the popemobile after the audience. When he grabbed the handrails, Francis couldn't get into the vehicle, so he was pushed in a wheelchair.
During the audience, an aide read Francis’ speech. He told the crowd it was "because I still have a cold and I cannot read well."
The Vatican’s press office announced on February 24 that Francis was suffering from a mild case of the flu. Days later, he was taken to Rome's Gemelli University Hospital for diagnostic tests.

It is difficult not to feel sad for his declining health. We need to pray for him. As with everyone we should pray for his eternal salvation and if it be for his good and the good of others his physical healing.

Although his mobility has been limited for months, Pope Francis has ordinarily been able to take a few steps without assistance. But on Wednesday, after sitting during the audience on a chilly day, he was unable to climb into his vehicle.

Why is this important? Don't worry, he will not do a favor to cowardly bishops and drop dead - no, all of us will continue to be tested to our limits - and then we will account for our deeds in front of God

For comparison here's a picture of Benedict XVI Ratzinger at the same age:

To be fair, His Holiness Benedict XVI had all of his original organs.

Small crowd there but that does seem to be the pattern with the old bloke, just call me Jorge. I hope he rectifies his grave errors before he meets the Lord.
